Insurance Made Simple

Eye Doctors That Take Medicaid & More

Insurance is an important part of making eye care accessible, but understanding your coverage isn't always straightforward. Our team works directly with your insurance provider to verify benefits, submit claims, and help you understand what your plan may cover.

Many vision and medical insurance plans help cover routine eye care or the treatment of eye conditions, but coverage varies depending on your provider and individual policy. If you have questions about your benefits before your appointment, we're always happy to help.

What's the Difference Between Vision Insurance and Medical Insurance?

Many patients are surprised to learn that their eye care may be covered by either their vision insurance or their medical insurance, depending on the reason for their visit. Some appointments may involve both vision and medical benefits.

Our team will determine which insurance is appropriate based on the reason for your visit and will explain how your coverage applies before your appointment, whenever possible.

Vision Insurance

Vision insurance helps cover routine eye care, including eye exams, prescription glasses, contact lenses, and other vision-related benefits. Coverage typically includes routine preventive care and may provide allowances toward eyewear.

Medical Insurance

Medical insurance applies when your visit involves diagnosing, monitoring, or treating an eye health condition. This may include glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic eye disease, dry eye disease, eye infections, eye injuries, or other medical conditions.

Accepted Insurance Plans

We're proud to work with many of the region's leading vision and medical insurance providers to help make quality eye care more accessible for our patients. Some of the insurance plans we currently accept include:
