Neurolens® Treatment in Nampa, Boise, & Kuna

Struggling with recurring headaches, tired eyes, neck pain, and digital eye strain? While these symptoms can have many different causes, they may also be a sign that your eyes are working harder than they should. We use advanced Neurolens® technology to evaluate how your eyes work together and determine whether a small eye misalignment may be contributing to your discomfort.

More Than Just Eye Strain

Could Your Eyes Be Causing Your Headaches?

Headaches and eye strain don't always mean you need glasses, but they can be a sign that it's time for a comprehensive eye exam. When your eyes aren't working together as efficiently as they should, they may place extra strain on your visual system, especially during activities like reading, working on a computer, or using digital devices.

If you regularly experience headaches, tired eyes, neck pain, blurred vision, or discomfort after prolonged screen time, a Neurolens® evaluation can help determine whether your symptoms are related to the way your eyes work together.

What is Binocular Vision Dysfunction?

Your eyes are designed to work together as a team, sending a single, clear image to your brain. For some people, even a very small misalignment of the eyes can cause the muscles around the eyes to work harder to maintain focus. Over time, this extra effort can lead to a condition known as Binocular Vision Dysfunction (BVD).

Many people with BVD don't realize their eyes are misaligned because the changes are often too subtle to notice. Instead, they experience symptoms like headaches, digital eye strain, neck pain, blurred vision, dizziness, or visual fatigue.

The Neurolens® Evaluation

Along with your eye exam, our eye doctors use the Neurolens® Measurement Device (nMD) to measure eye misalignments that may not be detected during a traditional eye exam.

This quick, non-invasive assessment provides precise measurements of how your eyes work together, helping us determine whether eye alignment may be contributing to your symptoms.

How Neurolens® Eyeglasses Work

Neurolens® uses prescription lenses to help your eyes work together more comfortably. Unlike traditional glasses, Neurolens® incorporates Contoured Prism™ technology, which realigns your eyes to reduce the strain caused by small eye misalignments.

Because every person's eyes are unique, the amount of prism changes throughout the lens to match your natural viewing habits. This personalized design helps reduce the extra effort your eyes make when looking at objects near and far, providing more comfortable vision.

Symptoms Neurolens® May Help Improve

Small eye misalignments can place continuous stress on your visual system, even if your eyesight seems clear. Over time, that extra effort may contribute to symptoms that interfere with work, school, and everyday activities. Neurolens® may help patients experiencing:

Headaches

Recurring headaches, particularly after reading, computer work, or other close-up activities, may be linked to eye alignment.

Digital Eye Strain

Hours spent using computers, tablets, and smartphones can place significant demands on your visual system.

Neck & Shoulder Pain

Some patients unconsciously adjust their posture to compensate for eye misalignments. Reducing visual strain may help relieve the associated tension in the neck and shoulders.

Visual Fatigue

If your eyes feel tired, heavy, or sore at the end of the day, your visual system may be working harder than necessary to maintain focus.

Binocular Vision Discomfort

Even tiny eye misalignments can make it difficult for your eyes to work together efficiently. Neurolens® is specifically designed to address this type of binocular vision discomfort, helping improve visual comfort throughout your daily activities.
